About Us

We are Rich & Laura Andrews, the owners of TLC. We’re both graduates of Taylor University FW, where we were college sweethearts, and we’ve lived in Huntertown for 25 years now and love this community! We lived in Fort Wayne the previous 10 years and love Fort Wayne too. All four of our kids grew up here and are now wonderful young adults who all live nearby, along with the newest addition of a beautiful baby granddaughter, who is the apple of our eye!

We started our business in 2014 and 10 years have flown by since then. Our lives have always been focused on raising our family and on serving and helping others (Rich worked in social services for over 20 years). And we’ve always had pets! Laura says “kids and critters are what makes a house a home.” 😊 Our business combines two great passions for us, a love for pets and a love for people, and it’s been one of the most rewarding and meaningful things we’ve ever done. All of the sweet, loveable, amazing critters we have the privilege to care for and all of the wonderful people we get to meet and help bring our hearts so much joy. ♥

For quite a few years we did everything ourselves. We worked every day, every weekend, every holiday, from morning to night. That is never sustainable and when we couldn’t do that any more we had to decide, do we just start turning away people now, or should accept the challenge to grow? We decided we’ve got a really great thing going and we’re very good at what we do, so we chose the latter and now have a small team of dedicated employees who help us too. Together we can serve people even better. We’re able to be here for our clients 365 days a year, when there are last minute requests, and if and when emergencies may arise.

When we’re not working you will likely find us hanging out at home! We have a big goofy yellow lab named Sam and three incredibly adorable cats of our own who keep us lots of company, give us lots of snuggles, and keep us very entertained!
